Important information about Veterinary Continuing Education (CE)
In the United States, veterinary licensure and continuing education approval are under the jurisdiction of each state's Board of Veterinary Medicine, and regulations vary from state to state. It is the veterinarian's responsibility to be familiar with the CE requirements of the states in which they are licensed, and to ascertain whether the educational sessions they attend qualify as acceptable veterinary CE within those states. Since AASV is an Allied Organization of the American Veterinary Medical Association, most states acknowledge AASV as an automatically approved provider of veterinary continuing education. AASV does not seek RACE approval for its conference sessions.
