AASV Poster Sessions
The information below is intended for those whose abstracts have been selected for poster presentation in the 2016 AASV Annual Meeting (see "Calls for Abstracts" at www.aasv.org/annmtg for abstract submission due dates and details).
The Veterinary Student, Research Topics, and Industrial Partners Poster Sessions will be held Sunday, February 28 and Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Posters may be oriented horizontally OR vertically, and must fit within a display area that is 3 1/2 feet wide by 4 feet tall. Materials for mounting the posters will be provided.
The poster content must reflect the title listed in the program, but is not limited to the information submitted in the proceedings paper. That is, additional text, tables, figures, and photographs that are unable to be included in the written paper may be included on the poster.
Poster presenters must submit a written paper for the proceedings of the meeting, due November 16. The paper is limited to one page of text plus one table or figure, formatted according to the Author Guidelines.
Poster presenters are required to register for the meeting and must be present at the poster display during the noon hour on Sunday.
The schedule for the poster exhibit is as follows:
Sunday, February 28
7:00 - 11:30 am
Posters mounted by authors. Mounting boards and pins provided.
Due to poster competition judging,
poster presenters are encouraged to mount posters PRIOR to 9:00 am.
9:00 - 11:50 am
Student Poster Competition judging
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Poster authors to be stationed near poster to answer attendee questions
Stipends distributed to veterinary student poster presenters by Zoetis representative
1:00 - 5:00 pm
Poster display continues; author presence not required
Monday, February 29
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Poster display continues; author presence not required
5:00 - 9:00 pm
Posters may be removed by authors; AASV not responsible for posters remaining after 9:00 pm.
Veterinary Student Poster Competition
Fifteen student poster presentations will be selected to compete for awards ranging from $200 to $500, sponsored by Newport Laboratories. Judging of the posters will take place from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon on Sunday morning, February 28. Current details are available at aasv.org/annmtg/2016/postercomp.htm.
